Facilities:

Both cottages have kitchen/kitchenette facilities, a slow-combustion wood heater, ensuite, TV, DVD, clock radio, fine bedding, electric blankets, hair dryers, towels, bath gowns and slippers.

Guests have access to the laundry.
Parking is available on-site and WiFi can be accessed.
A small library of DVDs is available to guests at no charge; enquire at Reception.

Food and Drinks:

Complimentary milk, instant coffee, tea bags, sugar, basic condiments, a coffee plunger, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided in the cottages.

Breakfast Baskets
Continental breakfast baskets prepared for two containing home-made toasted muesli, cereals, toast bread, berry jams and marmalade, yoghurt, milk and fruit juice are available for $9.00 per person.

Hearty breakfast baskets prepared for two containing all of the above plus country bacon, free range eggs, local mushrooms and tomatoes are available for $15.00 per person.

Please include your breakfast orders with your booking or give us a minimum one week’s notice of your hearty breakfast order.

Coffee, Port and Chocolates
Ground coffee (50g packets) can be purchased from Reception for $3.00. Coffee plungers are provided in the cottages. Decanters of Port (150cc) and Ferrero Rocher chocolates can also be purchased from Reception.

Wine & Beer
A selection of Tasmanian, mainland Australian, NZ and French wines and Tasmanian beer can be purchased at bottle-shop prices from Reception.

Local Dining
Fine dining is enjoyed at Fitzpatrick’s Inn in Westbury and at a number of award-winning restaurants in Launceston, 25 minutes away. Westbury also offers meals at the pub, pizza parlour and bakery/café. Excellent lunches are served at Hobnobs; as of January 04, 2012 Hobnobs will also be offering Bistro-styled dinner meals Wednesday through Saturday evenings. Deloraine, just 15 minutes away, supports a number of eateries.

Cook Your Own
Westbury has an excellent IGA supermarket, open from 8am – 8pm where you can obtain your groceries and fresh food should you choose to self-cater.

Rates

All rates are quoted in Australian Dollars and are inclusive of GST and Merchant fees. Rates are subject to change and accommodation type is subject to availability.

Tariff is quoted as accommodation for one or two guests per night.

In Linden Cottage, infants (under 1 year of age) are free. A Cot with bed linen is available for hire at $25.00 per stay.

In Holly Cottage, the charge for extra adults is $40.00 per night and for teenage children it is $35.00 per night.

Elm Wood Cottages are not suitable for young children

Availability and Booking

Find real time tariffs and availability and book online via our secure booking system. This is the quickest way to secure your booking. Alternatively, you can contact us with your preferred cottage and dates using the online enquiry form.

When you make a booking with Elm Wood Cottages you will be required to secure the booking with a 50% deposit at the time of booking, with the balance payable on arrival. Deposits can be paid by credit card (VISA or Mastercard) or by direct deposit. Deposits (less a $25.00 administration fee) will be refunded if 7 days notice of cancellation is given (with the exception of the Christmas and Easter holiday periods, for which 21 days notice is required).

Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival (or within 21 days for Christmas or Easter holiday periods) will forfeit the deposit.

Non-arrivals will forfeit deposit and any remaining nights may be re-sold.

Requests for changes to dates booked will be treated as a request to cancel the original booking and make a fresh booking.

An additional cleaning fee up to $50.00 may be charged where cottages are left in an excessively dirty state, or where guests choose not to wash and dry used dishes prior to departure.

Paying your deposit

Deposits can be paid by credit card or direct deposit.

If paying by credit card you can book and pay via our secure on-line reservations system, or you can telephone us with the numbers or fax or email the details to us.
